Mental Health Advocate - Evening or Overnight Shift

Responsibilities

HRI Hospital is seeking Full Time and Part Time Mental Health Advocates!

As a Mental Health Advocate, you will :

• Monitor patient safety on the inpatient psychiatric units
• Assist nursing staff with patient treatment procedures
• Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment
• Assist patients with activities of daily living
• Provide routine patient care as required in a psychiatric environment
• Document and communicate unusual or erratic changes in client behaviors
• Assist with patient groups and activities

Shifts :

Day Shift : 7 : 00am - 3 : 30pm

Evening Shift : 3 : 00pm - 11 : 30pm

Night Shift : 11 : 00pm - 7 : 30am

Shift Differentials :

Evening Shift : +$1.25 / Hour

Night Shift : +$2.00 / Hour

Weekend Shift : +$1.50 / Hour

Note : The weekend shift differential is cumulative; Example - a weekend evening shift would equate to a +$2.75 cumulative differential)

Qualifications

Requirements

• High School diploma; Bachelor's Degree in human services field preferred
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Physical Fitness - Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Must be comfortable working with patient in acute psychiatric distress
