We are searching for an experienced Payroll and HR professional to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of essential tasks, including :

• Processing payroll accurately and efficiently, meeting all deadlines, including those specific to union contracts
• Maintaining employee records and ensuring compliance with federal, state, local regulations, and union contract provisions
• Administering benefits and leave programs, accounting for union-negotiated plans and eligibility
• Providing support and guidance to employees on HR-related matters, navigating union representation and grievance procedures
• Developing and implementing HR policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with union contracts and collective bargaining agreements
• Staying up-to-date on the latest HR trends and best practices, with a particular focus on union-related developments and regulations

The ideal candidate will possess :

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in a Payroll and HR role, preferably with significant experience in a unionized environment
• Strong understanding of payroll processing principles and best practices, with expertise in handling union-specific calculations and deductions
• Proficiency in payroll software and HR information systems, with experience in managing systems tailored for union environments
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring adherence to complex contracts and regulations
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with employees, union representatives, and management
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team, navigating dynamic situations and collaborating effectively
• A commitment to providing outstanding customer service to all stakeholders
