Boulder Community health is seeking an RN Educator to build on varied educational and experiential basis for the enhancement of nursing and clinical practice.

Qualifications

• Colorado RN license in good standing
• BLS within 12 months of hire
• ACLS within 12 months of hire for Critical Care and Med Surg Educator.
• NIHSS certification required within 6 months of hire.
• MSN Preferred
• 5 years of PACU experience required.
• CVC, cath lab, and IR procedural areas preferred but not required.
• 1 year with clinical instruction in the hospital, healthcare setting, or academic setting required.

Responsibilities

• Acquires, maintains and builds on current knowledge in nursing practice.
• Develops, plans, implements, and evaluates educational programs for clinical personnel and support staff.
• Develops and / or maintains a comprehensive competency based orientation program for the nursing and technical staff that is congruent with TJC, CMS, CNA, OSHA, and other regulatory agencies requirements.
• Demonstrates clinical role modeling to the clinical staff and encourages their growth in clinical performance, decision-making and conflict resolution.
• Interacts consistently with small and large groups on a daily basis to meet the staff development needs and the goals of the assigned patient care area.
• Articulates clearly in teaching courses to professional audiences on topics consistent with knowledge and experience and role.
• Coordinates Colorado Nurses Association (CNA) and educational offerings following established guidelines to provide continuing education credits.
• Identifies learning needs based on performance behaviors that include critical thinking, interpersonal and technical skills.
