Description
You will perform general maintenance on the conveyor system under the direction of the maintenance supervisor, as well as, preventative maintenance to conveyor and mechanical equipment!
You will troubleshoot, repair and perform preventative and maintenance on Automation conveyors.
You will provide maintenance on : Compressors, Dryers, and Carton Sealers.
You will change industrial batteries, program variable frequency drives, change motors, reducers, V-belts and bearings.
Forklift and Boomlift qualified.
You will operate Powered equipment
You will assist Maintenance Technician.
Be able to bend / twist / kneel / crawl without difficult.
Continuously reach, lift, push and pull up to 40 lbs to return individual units to appropriate locations.
Safely lift, push, pull and relocate packages up to 50 lbs as required.
Able to perform responsibilities within a specified time frame to keep conveyor system operational for scheduled production.
Provide weekly report of activities, projects and completed assignments.
Be committed to the team effort.
Qualifications :
Minimum 3 years as a maintenance mechanic with conveyor repair experience.
Understanding of basic electrical AC / DC of 480 VAC, 110 VAC, 207 VAC.
Ability to use Volt Meter and understanding of AC / DC current.
Understanding of VFD’s.
Sortation Operation experience.
You will demonstrate your computer skills : Microsoft Word, Excel and Internet.
Excellent attendance.
Ability to work overtime and weekends if vital.
On-Call status if vital.
Strong Safety Skills.
Required :
High School Diploma or equivalent
At least 18 years of age.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to complete forms, write routine reports and correspondence.
Basic Skills : You will have the opportunity to exhibit your addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division skills.
Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
High Skills : Ability to seek practical problems and take care of a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
