As part of a diverse and hardworking team of specialists and engineers you will be part of the team developing Avionics Systems for various spaceflight systems.

You will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of Avionics Systems Engineering. You’ll be responsible for aspects of the integrated design across vehicle subsystems including selecting the best design solutions for system layouts, packaging, harnessing and component selection.

You will work through concept development, requirements definition and flowdown, ICD development, procurement, verification planning, vehicle integration, system build and checkout, and operations support producing artifacts and analyses to support the project.

This role reports to the Avionics Systems Engineering Manager as part of the Avionics Integrated Project Team.

You will work directly with NASA and our National Team Partners as part of the Human Landing System (HLS) Sustaining Lunar Development (SLD) program.

You will play a key role in developing the Lunar Transportation system that will return humans to the Moon and extend human presence permanently beyond the bounds of Earth.

Required Qualifications :

  • B.S. degree or higher in an applicable field (electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, etc.)
  • Successful candidates in this role typically have 5+ years of related experience.
  • Proven ability to interpret and apply high-level system requirements to practical design solutions
  • Hands-on experience installing and troubleshooting various electronic sensors and components.
  • Knowledge of and experience in analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog converters, power supply components and design, batteries, solar cells, RF systems, serial communication, and / or telemetry systems.
  • In depth knowledge of systems engineering practices (e.g., requirements development; standard verification methods; functional decomposition;

standard diagramming techniques; risk and opportunity management)

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.

S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Desired Qualifications :

  • Master of Science in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related disciplines.
  • 5+ years industry experience on large engineering systems
  • Experience designing and developing flight proven spacecraft hardware
  • Proficiently using software tools such as Matlab or Python.
  • Experience with harnessing and component packaging
  • Experience with requirements management software (DNG or JAMA preferred)
  • Experience developing products at any stage from early trade studies through final design, manufacturing, and test

Compensation range for on site CO applicants is $125,400-$175,560
