Job Description
The HR Administrator supports the administrative functions of the human resources department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities, include but are not limited to :
Makes changes within the various systems used internally and externally to support the overall functions of the HR department.
Current main systems include but are not limited to; The company HRIS system and Digital Drawer (internal) BCBSAL, NVA, MOO, Voya, (external).
Answers employee questions via telephone, email or regular mail and directs them to the appropriate resource and or department to address inquiries and resolve issues in a timely courteous manner.
Example : Orders insurance cards for employees and emails copies.
- Ensures all employee records are stored, indexed, and secured in the appropriate electronic cabinet within the company’s electronic filing system. (Digital Drawer)
- Responsible for ensuring eVerify and I-9 compliance for all PS Logistics locations and reporting exceptions in a timely manner to the appropriate hiring manager and business unit leader.
- Ensures all hiring requirements are met and documents collected are stored properly. Samples include, but are not limited to;
resume, application, background check, offer letter, tax documents.
Ensures all required posters are posted at all locations throughout the organization and conducts an audit at least once per year.
Ensures all updates are received and posted in a timely manner by each location contact. Maintains and updates a list of location contacts.
Serves as the HR liaison for all office and shop new hires on the asset side of the organization to include but is not limited to;
ensuring they understand the onboarding requirements, prepares and delivers welcome packets, answers general questions, and follows up regularly throughout the new hires first 90 days to ensure a smooth experience.
- Conducts all exit interviews for office asset support and shop terminations and is the point of contact to the person for questions about the off-boarding process.
- Gains approval for all business cards requests and proofs then submits to the printers for processing.
Qualifications
A successful HR Administrator must consistently demonstrate the company’s Mission and Values. They must have good oral and written communication skills in order to effectively interact with customers, drivers and other team members in person and on the telephone.
They must be customer service-oriented as well as team-oriented and must have good organizational skills. A successful HR Administrator must be able to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Finally, they must be able to work a flexible schedule when needed which could include weekends, evenings, and holidays.
