Overview
Kimley-Horn's Orange office is seeking an Aviation Project Manager with 8+ years of experience to join their Aviation team! This is not a remote position.
Responsibilities
- Prepare analysis reports in support of airport planning, design, and construction
- In addition to strong technical experience, other responsibilities will include managing projects, project design and permitting, construction coordination, and coordinating work with other team members
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to contribute to the successful completion of assigned projects
- Maintaining a high degree of quality sets of plans along with checking the work of others
- Assist in monitoring project progress, budgets, and schedules
- This is an exciting opportunity to work with a team of engineers, planners, and designers on a variety of projects
- You will flourish on both building meaningful internal and external professional relationships
- You will work closely and collaboratively with other industry leading professionals, various jurisdictions, and contractors
Qualifications
- 8+ years of aviation engineering design experience
- Professional Engineering (P.E.) License (or ability to obtain within 12 months)
- Familiarity with contract document preparation and cost estimating
- Familiarity with FAA Advisory Circulars and Engineering Briefs
- Familiarity with pavement design and FAARFIELD design software
- Strong desire and passion to be engaged with clients solving project problems and working with the team to deliver
- Strong AutoCAD and Civil 3D experience
- Ability to work in a team; both collaborating with and mentoring junior staff
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines
Salary Range : $125,000 to $165,000
