An international trading company is seeking a Bilingual Japanese / English Sales Assistant to join their team in San Jose, CA .
This position is responsible for providing assistance to the Sales team. An AA degree or higher, 2 years of sales assistant or inside sales experience, trading work experience, Microsoft Office experience (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and the ability to speak, read, and write Japanese are required.
This is a full-time, hybrid, non-exempt position with excellent benefits and 401k. Work schedule
Mon-Fri, 9-6

Bilingual Japanese / English Sales Assistant Duties :
- Maintain stable supply to customers through timely communication and proper documentation / storage of deliveries
- Arrangement instructions, documentation, storage, updating of control ledgers, and coordination with business partners regarding delivery of procurement - trade - sales
- Daily communication and exchange of forms with customers, suppliers, and carriers
- Timely updating of deployed delivery information in ledgers, instructions to related departments for arrangements, and coordination
- Creation of delivery plans based on customer demand
- Update ledgers of order information and confirm figures
- Identify inventory and arrangement quantities and communicate appropriately both internally and externally before problems arise
- Keep forms obtained from suppliers in the proper place, instruct suppliers to send documents that have not been obtained, and instruct suppliers to correct documents that are in error
- Prepare and send documents required for imports and exports.
- Administrative follow-up in the event of vacations, vacancies, etc
- Arrangement of office and employee supplies and follow-up on general administrative procedures
Bilingual Japanese / English Sales Assistant Skills :
- Must have an AA degree or higher
- Must have 2 years of sales assistant or inside sales experience
- Must have trading work experience
- Must be able to speak, read, and write Japanese
- Must have experience working with Japanese companies
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills
