TITLE : Parent Tutor - Intergenerational Literacy Program
GENERAL DUTIES :
- Tutor in a class of up to 20 learners, under the direction of the classroom teacher
- Engage with learners in small groups, using authentic materials that emphasize topics of learner interest
- Provide feedback to learners during classroom instruction, while suggesting additional strategies they can use to support their English language comprehension and fluency
- Support learners in using program technology during classroom instruction
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned by the program director
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Working proficiency in English
- Experience working in education
- Knowledge of family literacy, ESOL, ABE preferred
- Proficiency in Spanish, Portuguese, or Arabic preferred
- An adult who has participated in the Intergenerational Literacy Program (ILP) preferred
- U.S. Citizen or work authorization
HOURS : 8 - 19.5 hours per week, 38 weeks per year

SALARY : $19.50
