Position Title : Business Consultant, Senior

Location : Alexandria, VA (Telework is authorized, but must reside in the National Capital Region)

Job Summary :

Support the United States Coast Guard's Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber and Intelligence's (C5I) Service Center (C5ISC) in the areas of project management, business processes and administration to assist the C5ISC Infrastructure Services Division Transport Services Branch (ISD-TSB) in overseeing the execution of its service delivery responsibilities.

Education and Experience :

• Master's Degree in business, finance, economics, accounting or business analyst
• A leadership course certification
• A minimum of an Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level III certificate for network environment. Ability to advise industry standard expertise and clients on future IT strategies and execution
• 8 years of experience in business consulting and organizational management

Essential Duties :

The candidate will be responsible for :

• Analyze business problems and identify solutions that align with the organization's goals. This involves conducting in-depth research and assessments to understand the company's current state, market conditions, and competitive landscape
• Work closely with other senior leaders to develop strategic plans, create actionable recommendations, and help implement changes
• Leverage expertise to manage and mitigate risks, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget while achieving the desired outcomes
• Identify and document ISD-TSB budget requirements throughout the budget process lifecycle
• Support the development of future years' budget process
• Support and monitor ongoing ISD-TSB budgets
• Support and monitor budget funding backlog requests
• Provide recommendations to streamline methodology for planning future fiscal year budgets
• Propose in-depth analysis and solve complex problems to improve project deliveries
• Advise Branch Chief on strategies and best business practice methods.
• Develop detailed business plans
• Meet with other product lines to perform assessments
• Preparing PowerPoint slides and Excel Reports
• Analyze sections growth and establish effective methods for continuing momentum
• Marketing of our services and network AORs (Areas of Responsibility) to our customers. This can be done through our SharePoint page or other forms of USCG public communications

Knowledge, Skill and Abilities :

• Ability to maintain strong client relationships by delivering high-quality work to ensure customer satisfaction
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal, to present findings and recommendations clearly and persuasively to stakeholders at various levels
• Ability to stay abreast of industry trends
• Demonstrated ability to conduct detailed research and analysis of technical data and information
• Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to read and interpret acquisition policies, regulations, and directives
• Must be proficient in the Microsoft applications : Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and possess the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
