JOB RESPONSIBILITY : Plumbing Draftsman

• Create accurate estimates, sketches, proposals, and budgets in a timely manner. Study drawings and specifications for plumbing takeoffs to ensure accuracy.
• Oversee all aspects of projects from procurement to planning to implementation, ensuring the timeliness, quality, and uniformity of the projects
• Identify project opportunities using established online platforms and assesses project compatibility
• Allocates proper resources for assigned projects
• Collaborate with the engineering team to create detailed schematics and system designs.
• Apply mechanical knowledge to ensure the efficiency and functionality of plumbing designs.
• Incorporate ASME codes & standards into plumbing system designs.
• Conduct drafting and CAD work to produce accurate and precise drawings.
• Utilize relevant skills such as technical writing and construction knowledge to communicate design specifications effectively.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in plumbing design technology.
• Prepares and participates in the preparation and presentation of cost / budget information. Well versed in Buyout procurement for materials & fixture packages.
• Interface with association members, project inspectors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, clients, and insurance representatives
• Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications
• Monitor projects financial performance versus budgets to ensure profitability

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS : Plumbing Draftsman

• 3 + years experience Mechanical estimating / drafting experience
• Hospitality, Plumbing Healthcare experience is a plus
• AUTOCAD, Trimble, BIM 360, 3D, Fast Pipe
• Design-Buiild
• Experience in a variety of project types
• Must work well in a team environment
• Developed skills (written, oral, and listening) in order to effectively communicate with diverse audiences.
• Plumbing / Piping experience
• Quick Pen experience preferred
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word and Excel
• Good Time management, Verbal and written communication skills are a must
• Team Player
