Business Development ManagerFinancial Services / Intermediaries
Overview
As a Business DevelopmentManager for the STM Group Plc (the Group) you will be responsiblefor :
- Collaborating with theGroup Head of Business Development to maximise revenues through theproactive identification and conversion of new business salesopportunities for the Groups UK and international products andpropositions
- Playing an integral role as partof the broader Business Development team achieving yearonyeargrowth
- Actively promoting the Groups productspropositions and services through appropriate intermediatedchannels such as UK financial and investment adviserfirms
- Building and maintaining an effectivenetwork of professional financial and investment advisers withinthe intermediated channel community.
Summary of KeyResponsibilities :
- Collaborating with the Group Head of BusinessDevelopment to develop and execute the Groups commercial strategyacross all product lines to achieve continuous new business andrevenue growth
- Maximise business opportunitiesto achieve agreed growth targets by developing and maintainingrelationships with key business partners and thirdparties
- Identify evaluate and prioritisepotential market opportunities by size business opportunity andreturn on investment.
- Develop and maintain aproactive network of key intermediary businesspartners
- Build and promote strong sustainableintermediary relationships by partnering with key business partnersand understanding their needs
- Proactivelydevelop a sales pipeline / funnel to support future revenuegrowth
- Achieve growth and hit agreed salestargets by successfully managing the endtoend salesprocess
- Present sales revenue &expenses reports along with realistic forecasts to the Group Headof Business Development
- Complete weekly andmonthly reports for the Group Head of Business Developmentoutlining your activity priorities plans and business progressagainst agreed sales & revenuetargets
- Ensure the chosen sales tracking andcustomer relationship management (CRM) platform is complete anduptodate
- Ensure all new written businessadheres to the Groups compliance processes andprocedures
- Develop collaborative workingrelationships within the organisation in pursuit of the of theGroups overall business goals
- Maintainproactive relations with subsidiary Managing Directors and key STMGroup Plc stakeholders
- Liaise with theMarketing function to ensure that relevant product literature andcollateral is uptodate and supportive of the salesprocess.
Summary ofPersonal Skills & Competencies :
- Experienced business development professionalwith a proven history of working in the financial services industryin the UK international markets and / orboth
- Demonstrated history of success in afinancial services role
- Excellent influencingdecision making and negotiation skills
- Goodunderstanding of the life pension and broader retirementmarkets
- Excellent interpersonal andcommunication skills at all levels
- Demonstrableexperience of following a structured salesprocess(es)
- Proactive relationship and accountmanagement skills.
Desired Experience &Expertise
- Demonstrabletechnical experience in the life pensions and / or retirementarena(s)
- Strong network of intermediarycontacts
- Proven track record of delivering newbusiness growth
- Experience translating theprinciples of Consumer Duty and Treating Customers Fairly into abusiness developmentrole.
