Summit Design and Engineering Services is seeking a CEI Project Administrator for Construction Engineering and Inspections.
The candidate should possess the ability to Manage construction projects and operations, to include, supervision of personnel and resources, coordination with contractors, utility companies and other personnel.
The Project Administrator receives general instructions regarding assignments and is expected to exercise initiative and independent judgment in the solution of work problems.
Work is performed under the general supervision of the Sr. Professional Engineer or Project Manager.
Responsibilities :
- Manage construction inspection staff which includes directing and assigning specific tasks to inspectors and assisting in all phases of the construction project
- Responsible for the progress and final estimates throughout the construction project duration
- Materials testing and inspection planning and coordination
- Prepare thorough project documentation
- Review, monitor and approve DWR in SiteManager
- Record project conditions before and during construction
- Prepare monthly progress estimates
- Prepare Final Estimate
Required Skills and Qualifications :
A Civil Engineering degree with two (2) years of engineering experience in construction of major road or bridge structures ( A Master's Degree in Engineering may be substituted for one (1) year of engineering experience) , or for non-degreed personnel eight (8) years of responsible and related engineering experience, two (2) years of which involved construction of major road or bridge structures with the exception of Complex Category 2 (CC2) bridge structures.
Proven Project and Client Management skills. A Master's Degree in Engineering may be substituted for one (1) year of engineering experience
- CTQP Final Estimates Level II
- FDOT Advanced MOT
- Proficient in the use of iPad, Microsoft Office, Outlook, Dropbox, SiteManager, MAC and / or OneDrive
- Must possess strong interpersonal, coordination and communication skills
- Must be able to walk over rough and uneven terrain and be able to stand as needed to perform job
- Ability to work outside in various weather conditions
- Valid Driver's license with good driving record and ability to drive
It is expected that if hired, candidate will attend and successfully complete the following :
- Attend CTQP Quality Control Manager Course and pass the examination.
- Attend a FDOT accredited post-tensioning training course and pass the examination (for post-tensioned CC2 projects)
- Attend a FDOT accredited grouting training course and pass the examination (for posttensioned CC2 projects)
- Complete the Critical Structures Construction Issues, Self-Study Course, and submit the mandatory Certification of Course Completion form (for structures projects)
