Accounting Manager

Note : Thecandidate must have supervised payroll for 500 employees.

The position manages the general accounting costaccounting accounts payable payroll and treasury functions of thecompany in order to provide accurate processing and control of allfinancial transactions and to prepare meaningful and timelyfinancial reports and analysis for companydecisionmaking.

JobDuties :

• Ensure thetimely and accurate preparation of all financial statements andother statistical information for distribution to management theBoard of Directors creditors and shareholders on a monthlyquarterly and annual basis.
• Manage theaccounting and payroll staff and systems on a continuing basis.
• Direct the inventory and cost accountingfunction to ensure accurate cost of sales and inventory balances.
• Manage the reconciliation of key accountsmonthly and coordinate preparation of yearend audit information.
• Manage the accounts payable function toensure that disbursements to vendors are made in accordance withmanagement criteria / established procedures.

Manage filing of Form1099 tax information returns to applicable vendors in compliancewith tax regulation.

• Manage payroll functionto ensure that procedures and systems are operating properly andefficiently to provide accurate and timely payments of wages toemployees.
• Responsible for working with UKGpayroll software for the filing of all payrolls related reports incompliance with government regulations including federal and statequarterly and annual tax returns and employee W2 statements.
• Manage the treasury function to ensureaccurate and timely control of cash checks and ACH payments.
• Communicate with all levels of management toprovide answers to questions regarding accounting informationanalysis reports or procedures.
• Providetraining employee development and effective utilization of allemployees.
• Participate in new systemselections and implementation of new systems that impactAccounting / General Ledger.
• Special projectsand analysis as requested by VP of Finance and Treasurer andExecutive Team.
• Other job duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree in accounting with a minimumof five years of accounting experience involving financialstatement presentation financial analysis budgeting and accountingcontrols.
• 3 years public accountingexperience with active / inactive CPA.
• 3 yearsof supervisory experience as an Accounting Manager or Controllerincluding supervision of Accounts Payable.
• Payroll supervision experience with large employee baseis required.
• UKG software experience isdesired.
• Cost Accounting and NetSuitesoftware experience is desired.
