Ledgent is partnering with a growing distribution company in the northern side of town. The ideal candidate would have 7+ years of progressive accounting experience (strong G / L understanding) with previous leadership / management experience.
This is a fairly compensated role ($130-$160k base) with bonus potential (10-15% bonus). Remote flexibility 1x / week. On Site 4x / week. MUST LIVE LOCAL.
Job Description :
The Accounting Manager is responsible for oversight of a two-person accounting team; providing financial information to managers that is relevant to effective operation of these entities;
financial reporting and analysis including consolidated reporting. Also responsible for performing general accounting functions in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles for some managed facilities, providing technical assistance to facility accounting staff as needed.
- Management of accounting team.
- Responsible for core general ledger activities to ensure complete and accurate account reconciliations, analysis, accruals and reserves and timely monthly financial statements.
- Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close; meet internal and external reporting deadline.
- Timely completion of monthly account reconciliations, responsible for intricate account reconciliations, and oversight as a reviewer of certain account reconciliations.
- Accurate preparation of journal entries, including complex corporate accounting entries, as part of month-end closing process.
- Manage intercompany sales, payables and receivables, ensuring proper reconciliation and elimination at period end.
- Support daily / weekly treasury functions by processing wires, checks, cash forecasting and other daily cash reporting functions.
- Participate and partner with the finance team on key business initiatives.
- Create financial reports within the new ERP system and drive testing of those reports for accuracy.
- Various audit schedules and functions as needed to support a clean and efficient year-end audit.

Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- 7+ years of related experience, specifically within general ledger.
- Previous management / leadership experience.
- Previous experience in accounting in a growing multi-unit domestic and / or foreign company.
- Private equity owned firm experience a plus.
- CPA, CMA or other appropriate certification, or desire to obtain certification.
- Public accounting experience a plus.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and general ledger functions.
- Foreign currency experience a plus.
- Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite a plus).
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel.
