Position Summary
The Department of Spanish and Portuguese is looking for a dynamic student to support their social media, website and outreach activities.
In addition to miscellaneous office job-related duties.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Create content and artwork for print and digital media such as : flyers, ads, brochures, posters, general signage, and digital graphics for website and social media for targeted audiences.
- Ensure all online venues are updated and maintained.
- Attend outreach-tabling events including the NSO Discover Fairs.
- Attend department events and capture photographs of speakers, performers, attendees and event activities. Editing images to produce engaging content.
- Greeting visitors, students, staff & faculty, receiving and routing telephone calls with a high degree of professionalism.
- Performing a routine clerical, data entry and / or word processing work as assigned.
- Perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate for this position will have background in art / graphic design, outreach events, be creative, professional, and have a strong work ethic and collaborative mindset.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in graphic design
- Experience with Canva and / or Adobe Products
- Experience with website administration / maintenance.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Project management skills.
- Bilingual in English / Spanish or English / Portuguese
- Availability to work 10-15 hours per week during regular business hours Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. This includes 2-3 Saturdays per semester.
