The Senior Product Manager will drive innovation on Smarsh’s Enterprise Archive : the industry leading platform for archiving the communications data for world’s largest financial institutions.

Enterprise Archive is built on cloud native technologies and AWS services to deliver high performance search at multi-Petabyte scale, and provides the foundation for Smarsh’s eDiscovery and surveillance applications.

The Senior Product Manager must remain current on new and emerging technologies, as the platform must continuously evolve both the backend services used, as well as incorporating new data management functions including the adoption of Smarsh’s industry leading AI / ML.

The role requires gathering and documenting business requirements through interaction with customers and prospects, as well as research on competitive offerings.

The Senior PM will leverage customer insights and architectural knowledge to define, prioritize and execute on the product vision.

The Senior PM is a highly collaborative role working with cross-functional teams, launching releases incrementally and ensuring customer satisfaction and business growth.

Product Managers will work closely with their agile team personas, primarily the Technical Product Manager(s), to prioritize the team backlog, while maintaining conceptual and technical integrity of the features or components the team is responsible for.

The Senior PM has a significant role in establishing and influencing the team to deliver on the product vision.

What will you do?

  • Regularly interact with customers and prospects to develop new product requirements and communicate product roadmap features and timelines.
  • Drive global product requirements definition, product planning and product design (including writing epics, user stories and User Experience mocks) of new features and enhancements.
  • Understand and lead analyses of the competitor offerings, customer pains and needs and product metrics to determine the right set of features to customer success and retention.
  • Lead the Go-To-Market efforts for new products and features.
  • Work cross functionally with the Product Development and Product Marketing team to deliver on the roadmap.
  • Champion the product offerings by evangelizing and clearly communicating product benefits to our users and internal stakeholders
  • Other duties as assigned.

What will you bring?

  • BS degree in a technology-related field or equivalent. MBA is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in a product management or equivalent leadership roles
  • Experience building SaaS offerings with a proven ability to drive product planning, development and launch
  • Experience in User Experience design, Analytics or Business Intelligence tools
  • Domain knowledge is highly desired
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with and understand technical subjects and emerging technologies and their relevance to the marketplace
  • Ability to manage and lead across highly cross-functional teams in an agile environment. Certified Scrum Master or an equivalent certification would be an added plus.

Any applicable bonus programs will be discussed during the recruiting process. The salary for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, location, specialty and training.

Local cost of living assessments are done for each new hire at the time of offer.
