We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Electrical Designer to join our engineering team in Michigan!
In this role, you’ll be involved in key aspects of industrial design and collaborate on multidisciplinary projects. This includes equipment, cable tray, lighting layouts, motor schematics, and ensuring system components are properly sized and selected.
Your input will shape designs while meeting budget, timeline, and code compliance requirements.
What You’ll Be Doing :
- Design and layout equipment, cable trays, lighting, heat tracing, and building services
- Work on motor schematics and electrical designs
- Assist in reviewing and understanding systems and design layouts
- Help with project budgets, schedules, and estimates
- Coordinate with engineers and project managers for collaborative design development
- Provide estimating support and continuously seek opportunities to learn and improve
What You’ll Bring :
- 3+ years of experience in industrial electrical design
- Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD (Revit experience is a plus)
- Strong skills with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a creative and logical approach to problem-solving
- Experience with MV / HV power systems or VFD motor control (an asset)
Qualifications :
- 3+ years of Electrical Design experience
- High school diploma required, college-level diploma in engineering technology preferred
- Intermediate knowledge of CAD systems and software
