The Department of Psychology at Wake Forest University invites applications for two tenure-track positions to begin in July 2025.

The first position is in Human Neuroscience . For this position, we are seeking a neuroscientist who focuses on one of two central departmental research themes : 1) Self-Regulation (e.

g., emotion regulation, self-control) or 2) Assessment and / or Quantitative Methods (e.g., neuropsychological assessment, dynamical systems, computational neuroscience).

In their application materials, applicants should address - and provide objective indicators of which one theme (self-regulation or assessment / quantitative methods) their work best advances, and how.

The strongest candidates will be very strong in one of the themes rather than less strong in both themes. Applicants should indicate which theme they focus on in the cover letter.

The successful candidate will be able to teach and mentor students in Physiological Psychology as well as in their specific expertise.

The successful candidate will also be able to supervise undergraduate research assistants and honors students as well as master's students in their area of expertise.

The second position is in Human Cognition . For this position, we are seeking candidates whose research addresses cognitive processes from a neuroscience or behavioral perspective, and who focus on one of two central departmental research themes : 1) Self-Regulation (e.

g., cognitive control; executive function) or 2) Assessment and / or Quantitative Methods (e.g., neuropsychological assessment, measurement, dynamical systems, computational modeling) .

The successful candidate will teach courses in their area(s) of expertise as well as more general courses at the undergraduate and / or graduate level, conduct programmatic research, supervise undergraduate and graduate student research, and be committed to diversity and inclusion as core values.
