Nemours is seeking a Clinical Health Equity Program Manager for our Inclusion, Diversity, Equity & Alignment team in Florida.
Primary Functions :
Reporting to the Senior Director, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, the Clinical Health Equity Program Manager supports the planning, management, and implementation of existing and new initiatives to further the mission, goals, and strategic initiatives of Nemours Children's Health Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Alignment (IDEA) department.
This position will heavily support the equitable healthcare delivery evaluation team and manage IDEA enterprise-wide infrastructure needed to develop and implement the health equity strategy.
This position requires in-depth knowledge of project management, process reengineering, clinical operations, and group facilitation.
Specific areas of responsibility include strategic planning, strategic program development, knowledge management, management of strategic initiatives, partnerships, programs, and related activities.
The ideal candidate must have the proven ability to lead, direct, and manage multiple large complex projects from inception to completion within a healthcare setting.
Responsibilities include directing and coordinating all resources throughout the lifecycle of the projects by using management techniques to achieve predetermined objectives of scope, quality, time, cost, and stakeholder satisfaction.
The Clinical Health Equity Program Manager will be responsible for daily coordination of all aspects of the project to include monitoring project performance, organizing and leading teams, ensuring accountability of project participants, identifying opportunities to improve the status quo, managing project work plans and timelines, managing issues, risks, costs, and communicating at all levels of the organization.
The Clinical Health Equity Program Manager will integrate programs from other clinical service lines or business operations departments, develop and maintain strong clinical partnerships, and leverage clinical experience to support project planning, research, evaluation planning, community interventions and overall reporting (both quantitative and qualitative).
Essential Functions :
- Manage the development of implementation and execution of Health Equity strategy, priorities, data standards, disparity analysis, intervention, and outcomes measurements aligned with the enterprise strategic plan across Nemours Children’s Health ensuring that health equity is integrated across the organization’s policies, processes, and initiatives.
- Responsible for all aspects of program management including building and maintaining all work plans, meeting notes, action items, presentations, project timeline, concerns, risks, and opportunities.
- Manages academic publications on behalf of the department, including preparing abstracts & submissions, writing literature reviews and citations for professional papers and grant preparation and submissions.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Develop project plans specifying goals, strategy, dependencies, participants, scheduling, identification of risks, contingency plans, and allocation of available resources.
Performs analysis and evaluation of data including data interpretation and guidance to support project management, operations improvement, and operating and / or budget impacts.
Maintain a high level of communication with internal and external teams, providing clear, tactful, and complete directives, realistic deliverable deadlines, and prompt feedback.
Develops written and graphic presentations of information for internal and external stakeholders.
- Identifies opportunities for automating manual processes and improving workflow efficiencies. Proposes solutions / changes to existing processes by analyzing problems and opportunities for continuous improvement mindset, evaluating cost / benefit, making recommendations, and executing a plan.
- Leverage clinical experience in translating clinical requirements into practical solutions for improved efficiencies, recommendations, evaluation, program improvements, etc.

Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders, regulatory authorities, and develop key documents like protocols, evaluation documents, budget sheets, study reports, and final reports as required.
Job Requirements :
- Bachelor's Clinical degree required.
- Clinical license required : RN, LCSW, LPN, Pharmacist, etc.
- Minimum of 3 years of Project management experience required
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in healthcare operations and project coordination, managing cross-functional or inter-disciplinary teams.
- Demonstrated direct patient care experience with responsibilities that included hands-on contact with patients and / or high-level decision making in a medical environment required
- Pediatric healthcare and / or direct patient care experience preferred
- Demonstrated experience in a clinical or healthcare operations setting involving planning, financial analysis, or strategy development utilizing project management methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multifaceted projects and / or program teams. Ability to set up, plan, manage, report, and communicate projects and direct the completion of projects within proper scope, budget, and schedule.
- Demonstrated knowledge of core issues related to equity / health equity, equity / health equity research, change management, large group educational design and facilitation.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software packages.
