Parts Manager

Essential Functions
- Maintains a balanced inventory consistent with the requirements of the service department.
- Assists in establishing pricing parameters in each customer category that generate sufficient gross profit to produce a satisfactory profit while maintaining customer loyalty.
- Analyzes sales, expenses, and inventory monthly to maintain profit goals.
- Establishes individual parts inventory levels and balances them for maximum turnover and to minimize obsoleteness.
- Ensure that all returned, or warranty parts are properly tagged so that the company recovers full credit from the factory.
- Assists in the supervision of the stock order procedures.
- Ensure field service technicians are adequately supplied with all parts and materials as needed.
- Works with the Operations, Service and Project Managers to ensure a timely turnaround of parts needed for internal jobs.
- Assists in analyzing departmental operations and storage layout and revises as needed for maximum effectiveness.
- Provides technical assistance to employees and customers.
- Coordinates with shipping and receiving to ensure timely processing.
- Assists in developing sales promotions.
- Seeks out new parts business.
- Works with Procurement and seeks out new vendors, suppliers and manufacturers and negotiates terms and pricing for greater profitability.
- Enforces and monitors guidelines for working with customers to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.
- Handles customer complaints immediately and according to the Company’s policies.
- Understands and comply with federal, state, and local regulations that may affect parts sales.
- Prepares for ISO 9001 and other audits.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, loud noise, and vibration.
The employee is also occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions.
Physical Demands
The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and / or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move objects up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Expected Hours of Work
Overtime may be necessary as workload dictates. This may include weekdays, weekends, or holidays.
Travel
Up to 30%
Required Education and Experience
- Associate degree in technical field or equivalent.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical and industrial parts and systems
Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor degree.
- Experience working in parts sales and parts management.
- Experience working in industrial, oil and gas, and / or power related sectors
Work Authorization
Must be authorized to work in the United States and have current passport. Must have a valid driver’s license. Must be able to obtain Transportation Worker Identification Credential.
