Esteemed San Diego based restaurant group is seeking a dynamic and talented VP of Culinary to lead the culinary operations across a diverse restaurant portfolio, ensuring consistency, quality, and operational efficiency.
This role will be responsible for mentoring kitchen leadership, along with developing and refining standard operating procedures.

VP of Culinary Responsibilities :
- Oversee culinary operations across multiple units and geographic markets ensuring high standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation
- Develop and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to optimize kitchen efficiency and performance
- Collaborate with restaurant managers and executive chefs to streamline kitchen operations
- Monitor and analyze kitchen performance, identifying areas for improvement, providing constructive feedback and implementing solutions
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations across all units
- Recruit, train, and mentor culinary staff, fostering a positive culture of continuous learning and growth across all kitchens
- Stay current with industry trends
- Split time between corporate office and field as needed, providing hands-on support and guidance
VP of Culinary Preferred Qualifications :
- Proven experience in a multi-unit, multi-market culinary role, with at least 4 years as a Regional Chef, Area Chef, or Corporate Chef overseeing at least 40 MIL in revenue
- Strong background in operational management and system implementation
- Familiarity with back-of-house (BOH) management software, such as Ctuit or similar platforms
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Strong financial acumen and experience in budgeting and cost control
- Experience in fast-paced, dynamic environments and managing high volume kitchen operations
- Experience working in diverse geographical locations and comfortable with local travel across California
- Professional, forward-thinking, and innovative in approach
Compensation / Benefits Includes :
