KPMG is currently seeking a Manager, Tax Research and Planning to join our Finance & Accounting Partner Taxes organization.
Responsibilities :
- Update and maintain research-related resources and tools that are used extensively by the other departments within Firm Taxes (Partnership Tax Matters (PTM), and Partner Tax Services (PTS)) for current tax law changes and developments.
- Develop excel-based models to project the tax impact of proposed or enacted tax law changes to the firm or the partners of the firm.
- Collaborate with members of PTM / PTS to ensure tax positions are properly reflected in the tax returns and compliance deliverables.
- Document and organize tax research positions.
- Coordinate with various members of Finance, Human Resources, and Global Location and Expansion Services ("GLES") to maintain the firm's compliance with various tax credits and incentive programs;
review monthly and quarterly data reports to substantiate the firm's compliance with these programs.
Qualifications :
Minimum four years of recent federal, or multi-state and local tax experience preferred; federal and state partnership experience preferred;
high net worth individual tax experience preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required; Master's degree in tax or accounting preferred; enrolled Agent or CPA preferred.
- Possess technical skills and computer proficiencies in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Adobe Acrobat Pro required;
- Microsoft Excel skills include creating spreadsheets, using shortcuts, formula functions, sorting / filtering data, and analyzing data;
Microsoft Word skills include creating documents, dynamic page layouts, page navigation, and comparing files; Adobe Acrobat Pro skills include creating PDFs, using comment tools, editing PDFs, redacting PDFs, page navigation, and comparing files.
- Be a detailed-oriented and collaborative-minded professional.
