About the Position
As our temporary custodian, you will perform custodial assignments necessary to maintain the cleanliness and care of the facilities including academic, residential, and athletic.
A basic list of responsibilities include :
- Emptying trash
- Dusting
- Vacuuming
- Checking fixtures and making note of damage
- Interim floor and carpet care
- Spot cleaning of carpets
- Polishing
- Cleaning door glass
- Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Operating cleaning equipment
- Cleaning lockers and benches
- Setting up and removing furniture
- Assisting as required on snow removal
- Mixing chemicals for cleaning
- Disinfecting, cleaning and sanitizing
- Stripping, cleaning, buffing and applying finish to floors
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Effectively read, write and follow oral and / or written instructions as provided by management
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in housekeeping, janitorial, general or building maintenance or custodial work in an educational environment
- Proven ability to work independently and in groups
Salary$18.44 / hour Bargaining UnitThis position is covered by a Washington Federation of State Employees bargaining union. Application Instructions
