AUTOMOTIVE AND DIESEL ADJUNCT INSTRUCTOR POOL
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities :
- Candidates will be evaluated on suitability of their academic preparation, past teaching experience, and potential for providing high quality instruction to undergraduate students.
- Expertise and experience relevant to the effective teaching of the specialty.
Preferred Experience & Education :
A minimum of 5 years documented industry experience in the area taught is required. Previous experience teaching at the secondary or post-secondary level in an automotive related program is preferred.
Required Experience & Education :
Associates degree in Automotive / Diesel Technology or related field or an exceptional level of professional experience in a closely related field may be considered.
A bachelor degree in Automotive / Diesel Technology or related field is preferred. Certification specific to the area(s) taught though Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) is required.
Salary Information :
Salary is based on the number of previous semesters teaching experience within the University of Alaska.
