What will you be doing?
As our Training Specialist, you will develop, update and increase the utilization of training resources that amplify the impact of adult volunteers leading Girl Scout Troops and Service Units!
You will develop a committee of committed volunteers to provide insight and assistance to this body of work. Overall, the Training Specialist is responsible for assessing, designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating the Council's adult volunteer education offerings.
Ultimately, this work is expected to positively influence volunteer retention metrics by providing the tools volunteer leaders need to lead with confidence.
These efforts help us deliver on our mission to build girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place.
Every day, you will be responsible for thinking about how training resources can assist adult volunteers. This may happen by analyzing end of year troop reports or calls to Council, collaborating on conflict resolution cases to identify trends, or by analyzing member survey data.
Every week, the Training Manager will interact with volunteers, provide status reports on goals and objectives, and attend meetings.
At least monthly, you will develop and revise trainings and implement and offer new volunteer trainings. The incumbent is also responsible for reviewing and updating volunteer position descriptions and managing the volunteer onboarding and orientation process.
Quarterly, you will assess volunteer engagement and compliance with required training. Annually, the Training Specialist will develop and maintain an annual calendar of adult learning opportunities and collaborating on associated marketing plans.
What do you need?
The Training Specialist role requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. A minimum of three years recent, relevant experience is required.
Strong preference for experience with volunteer management experience in the nonprofit sector & Salesforce. Preference for degrees / coursework in a related field (e.
g. education, curriculum development), proven experience in adult training and development, and bilingual (Spanish / French).

The hiring range for this position is $43,565-$46,641.
This is an exempt, in-based Training Specialist position located in our Lake Worth Headquarters. Office hours for our four-day workweek are Monday- Wednesday from 8 : 00 a.
m. - 6 : 00 p.m. and Thursdays from 8 : 00 a.m. 5 : 00 p.m. with a half hour lunch; some additional evening and weekend hours may be required.
Following the 60 Day Introductory Period, eligible team members may participate in our Office Optional Monday program with supervisor approval, which provides an opportunity to work from home on Mondays.
