We are looking for an experienced Licensed Loan Officer, who will bring enthusiasm, attention to detail, and a servant heart to our team of top-tier mortgage professionals.
This professional will work in a tight-knit, goal-oriented team where our Customers and Referral Partners can rely on them to ensure an accurate and timely closing process.
The Licensed Loan Officer's primary function is the promotion and sale of Company loan products and services to potential customers.

What you'll do :
Sales Team Leadership :
- Build and lead high-performing sales teams focused on mortgage origination and homeownership expansion.
- Recruit and develop sales staff to facilitate growth in targeted markets, ensuring alignment with division objectives.
Market Expansion :
- Oversee the development of new points of sale to enhance loan production in both existing and new markets.
- Identify and assess opportunities for growth in underserved communities to drive incremental production.
Program Development and Distribution :
- Drive the distribution of Special Purpose Credit Program Financing Products and Affordable Housing funds in targeted markets.
- Leverage all of Cornerstone Capital Bank's internal portfolio products and secondary market offerings, including downpayment assistance programs.
Collaboration with Leadership :
- Collaborate with Cornerstone leadership to integrate new points of sale and staff into overall strategy and operations.
- Leverage Cornerstone marketing campaigns and branding efforts aimed at consumers, real estate referral partners, and home builders.
Performance Monitoring :
- Establish key performance indicators to measure the success of mortgage origination efforts.
- Analyze and discuss reporting provided by Cornerstone Capital Bank for stakeholders, showcasing the impact of community lending initiatives.
Regulatory Compliance :
- Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local lending regulations, promoting ethical lending practices.
- Stay current on updates and changes in lending laws and market trends affecting community lending, as provided periodically by Cornerstone Capital Bank.
Community Engagement :
- Continue to lead current origination efforts in existing markets
- Leverage relationships established between Cornerstone Capital Bank and community organizations, government agencies, and local businesses to enhance lending outreach and impact.
- Represent Cornerstone Capital Bank at community events, conferences, and workshops to promote lending programs.
What you'll need to be successful :
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience (preferably 10 years+) in mortgage lending, sales leadership, or community development, with a focus on underserved markets.
- Proven experience in building and managing successful sales teams.
- Strong understanding of community lending regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with a variety of stakeholders.
- A passion for community development and a commitment to promoting financial inclusion.
