We are seeking an Accounting Assistant based in Auburn, Washington. The role involves providing comprehensive support to our accounting team, with a focus on billing, account management, and transaction processing.
The successful candidate will be adept at using modern accounting tools and software, ensuring efficient processing of transactions.
Responsibilities :
- Manage and maintain all aspects of billing, including the preparation and finalization of invoices.
- Handle cash receipts and accurately identify the correct account for depositing.
- Apply payments accurately to their respective accounts.
- Submit remote checks and liaise with customers and sales teams to ensure smooth execution of transactions.
- Maintain and update the general ledger frequently and accurately.
- Review sales orders and finalize appropriate billing.
- Identify and verify purchase orders in alignment with the financial regulations and standards of the organization.
- Ensure pricing aligns with the billing system.
- Digitally submit invoices to customers via email and customer portals.
- Handle customers' credit card payments and accurately capture the payment information.
- Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential
- Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services is required
- Experience with Great Plains (GPAC) is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suites
- Knowledge of Accounting Functions is necessary
- Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is beneficial
- Familiarity with Billing Functions is a plus
- Must be able to handle Cash Activity effectively
- A degree in Accounting or related field may be required
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills are needed
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills are crucial
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary
- A high level of professionalism and ethical standards is required.
