As a Risk Analyst, you will play a critical role in identifying, enhancing, and assessing potential risks that could impact the organization's operations, reputation, and financial health.

You will analyze processes, identify areas of risk and associated controls, track identified findings and corrective action, and provide recommendations to enhance the company's risk management strategies.

The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of risk management principles.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review existing risk assessments to identify additional potential risks across various areas, including financial, operational, regulatory, and strategic risks.
  • Develop and maintain risk and control libraries within the enterprise risk management platform, linking all identified risks and associated mitigation plans to business areas across the enterprise.
  • Collaborate with different departments to identify and implement mitigating controls into the risk assessment.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of implemented controls and recommend adjustments as necessary.
  • Ensure that all risk management activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Stay updated on changes in regulatory requirements and adjust risk assessment risks and controls accordingly.
  • Participate in the development and enhancement of risk management frameworks, policies, procedures, and job aids.
  • Conduct risk management training sessions for staff to promote a risk-aware culture within the organization.
  • Document and report Issues Management findings to management and recommend preventive measures.
  • Prepare detailed risk reports and presentations for senior management, outlining key findings and recommendations.

Requirements

Essential Knowledge and Skills

  • Experience in financial services or another highly regulated industry.
  • Familiarity with Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) frameworks.
  • Project management skills and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Education and Experience

  • Proven experience (2-5 years) in risk analysis, risk management, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in risk management software and tools (e.g., nContracts).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices in risk management.
