HilltopSecurities is currently looking to hire an Alternative Investments Operations Senior Specialist in our Dallas, Texas headquarters.

This role will be responsible for supporting all back-office processing related to alternative investments including but not limited to processing subscription agreements and handling various corporate action activities.

This position requires a team-oriented player who is detail oriented with the ability to prioritize their workload to meet daily deadlines.

The Operations group is a collection of sub-departments which is responsible for everything after an account is opened or a trade occurs.

The Operations group's responsibilities include opening customer accounts, account maintenance, receiving and delivering money and securities to customers, and much more.

The Alternative Investment Department is comprised of two Specialists, a Team Lead and Supervisor. The department interacts daily with brokers, branch offices, Transfer Agents, and Investment Companies.

Essential Functions

Under moderate supervision, performs more complex functions according to department guidelines. May require research and analysis.

Process subscriptions agreements on behalf of our clients

• Post corporate actions and dividends to customer accounts
• Identify and resolve customer position discrepancies with the transfer agent
• Post incoming and outgoing wired funds in a timely and accurate manner
• Transfer and maintain private investment registration
• Secure new issue information and product details from Investment Companies
• Setup new investments on the Firm’s Security Master
• Provide operational support to both internal and external customers
• Special projects and duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• Undergraduate business degree preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of industry experience in Financial Services Operations and / or Securities Processing
• Minimum 1 year AIP experience with a solid understanding of AIP processing
• Knowledge of basic security industry terminology and financial markets
• Customer focused with effective interpersonal and communication skills
• Team player who shows commitment and dedication, and can maintain both a positive attitude and high level of performance on high demand & time-sensitive initiatives
• FIS Phase3, DST Vision experience a plus
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and back-office system
• Ability to work additional hours and / or flexible shift assignments when needed
