Responsibilities Director, Risk Management Full-time, Exempt position located at Corona Regional Medical Center in Corona, CA The tradition of caring that culminated in the establishment of Corona Regional Medical Center® began in , with the founding of Corona Community Hospital.
Since that time the hospital has changed to meet the needs of the rapidly growing community. Corona Community Hospital merged with Circle City Medical Center in and the resulting entity became Corona Regional Medical Center.
The merged hospitals are now a -bed community hospital network comprised of a -bed acute care hospital and a 78-bed rehabilitation campus.
It is certified by The Joint Commission, employs more than 1, trained healthcare workers and has a medical staff of approximately physicians representing more than 40 specialties.
With support of leadership, the Director of Risk Management has the responsibility for researching, coordinating, implementing and following up on activities related to the hospital wide Risk Management Program.
Specific activities encompass collecting and analyzing risk management and patient safety data, analysis of the data and recommendation of programs to mitigate risk and improve patient safety.
Works collaboratively with department directorsandtheexecutive team to implement Corporateand Facility risk reduction strategies.
Serves as the Compliance Officer. Provides expertise to regulatory and compliance standards and processes. Position entails data collection, analysis, reporting, educating, providing leadership and being accountable for related activities.
It also requires communication with and reporting of facility-specific information to Corporate counterparts. This position is an intergral part of the Quality / Risk / Compliance / Infection Control team in providing support services to the facility.
Departmental cross-training provide for back-up support as needed to support departmental activities. Reports to the Chief Nursing Officer.
