POSITION SUMMARY
As a systems engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based solutions using Microsoft Azure.
You will work closely with other engineers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure that the systems meet the business requirements and adhere to the best practices.
You will also troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise in the cloud environment.
What you’ll do :
- Design and deploy cloud infrastructure and applications using Azure services and tools.
- Monitor and optimize the performance, availability, and security of the cloud systems.
- Implement backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans for the cloud systems.
- Provide technical support and guidance to the users and clients of the cloud systems.
- Document and update the cloud architecture, configuration, and processes.
- Research and evaluate new technologies and trends in the cloud domain.
- Design, install, configure, and maintain servers and storage devices in a hybrid cloud environment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with server performance, availability, and security.
- Monitor and optimize the utilization and capacity of virtual server resources.
- Implement and enforce backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans.
- Ensure compliance with cloud service provider policies and best practices.
- Monitor cloud resources to ensure budgetary compliance by rightsizing where necessary.
What you’ll need to be successful :
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- At least 3 years of experience in systems engineering, cloud computing, or related field.
- Strong knowledge and experience in Microsoft Azure, including Azure Active Directory, Azure Storage, Azure Networking, Azure Security, and Azure PowerShell.
- Certification in Azure Administration or Azure Solutions Architect is preferred (or equivalent AWS / GCP certification)
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
