As Senior Data Analyst, you will support the Data Owners, Data Consumers and Data Stewards in an Enterprise Data Remediation Process intended to remediate data concerns which arise from enterprise data not meeting quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze if a newly logged data concern is / related to an existing data concern / issue.
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis which determines the Break Point for Remediation. Defects identified in this process will answer What is broken, where the break occurred, and the underlying Root Cause, the "Why of the occurrence.
  • Review and validate data provided and obtain new data where required to commence the Root Cause Analysis (RCA) Process.
  • Analyze Data Quality Rule results to recommend Data Quality Rule modifications or, the need to investigate a Data-Related issue.
  • Document the details of RCA by Recursive Data Transformation review and determine the Root causes of defects.
  • Identify potential preventive measures, tactical and / or strategic system for fixes.
  • Conduct detailed Impact Analysis
  • Confirm Remediation Ownership
  • Improve Data Quality rules including Data Construct, Critical Data Element, Rule registration in Collibra, scripting business rules, collaborating with Technology to implement Rules, Testing implementation of rules.
  • Present Updates to Data Owners and Leadership in the form of Overview Documents, RCA Templates and other Presentations as required.
  • Create Jira Stories and Close them with evidence at the end of each Sprint.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5-7 years plus experience in any of the following Data Management areas including, Data Cataloging, Data Lineage, Data Quality Rules, Score card Monitoring.
  • Knowledge of consumer Banking Business / Product (Deposits, Cards, Loans, Mortgages), Wealth Products (Lending, Deposits to Private Banking Clients) and Global Operations from a Risk, Finance, Compliance or, Operations perspective.
  • Strong Data Analysis, Business Analysis and Problem-solving skills using excel
  • Thrives in a collaborative environment working with cross functional teams
  • Strong interpersonal skills, interacting with clients both on the business side as well as technical specialists
  • Has worked in an agile environment.

Strong Communication and Presentation Skills

Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science

Preferred Qualifications / Skills

  • Familiarity with Basel II, III, CCAR, CECL, FR 2052A, FDIC and other similar Banking regulations
  • HPALM or similar tool in Issue Management
  • Data Analysis using SQL
  • Collibra
  • JIRA
  • The approximate annual base compensation range for this position is $115k to $125k. The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package plus benefits, will be determined by a number of factors which include but are not limited to the applicant’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities;

geographic location; and internal equity.
