Summary
The Manager of Financial Consolidations & Reporting is responsible for the consolidation of HEM’s worldwide financial statements and various month-end deliverables, including calculation of eliminations, various reporting / analysis, preparation of journal entries, and executing various checks and balances to ensure accuracy of financial reporting.
The Manager will serve as a partner to the Huber Corporate finance team to provide information and field questions related to HEM’s financial statements.
Other responsibilities include routine maintenance and special projects associated with the Company’s consolidation tool (OneStream), balance sheet analytics and reviews, transfer pricing analysis and maintenance of the Company’s spending limits / hierarchy.
In addition, this position will support the implementation of Oracle Analytics and become the finance support analyst to HEM leadership functional areas.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Month-end close, reporting and analysis responsibilities
- Executes monthly process to consolidate HEM financial statements in OneStream, consolidating multiple SBUs and various legal entities around the globe, including troubleshooting issues and completing checks and balances to ensure accuracy
- Calculates and records intercompany elimination journal entries and ensures intercompany out-of-balances issues are corrected prior to completion of consolidation
- Prepares and distributes financial statements to HEM and SBU finance leadership teams, including income statements, working capital, cost center reports, and related analysis
- Performs reporting and analysis for non-operating (sundry) costs, including analytics for FX, restructuring costs, and other non-operating costs
- Prepares monthly consolidated cash flow actuals and forecast
- Performs general account reconciliations for offsite inventory and addresses reconciling items
- Prepares quarterly transfer pricing analysis to assess profitability by legal to support SBUs and controllership team in intercompany transfer pricing adjustments
- Complies quarterly balance sheet reporting and leads quarterly B / S reviews with SBU finance teams
- Completes quarterly consolidated balance sheet analytics, coordinating with SBU finance teams to draft explanations and management commentary
Strategic and other responsibilities
- Support the implementation of Oracle Analytics Cloud, including assisting with testing and validation, development of dashboards and reporting capabilities, and become the finance team OAC specialist
- Provide finance support to HEM leadership functional teams, including Supply Chain, IT, Human Resources, Continuous Improvement, and EH&S, in area of monthly variance analysis, budgeting and forecasting
- Serves as the HEM specialist for the OneStream consolidation tool, including completion of routine and special projects associated with mapping and maintaining the system and integrating new acquisitions
- Maintains HEM’s delegation of authority matrix and ensures proper configuration in Oracle, including set-up of employee profiles, hierarchy, and spending approvals limits across the organization
Specialized / Technical Knowledge or Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA preferred
- Minimum five years of experience
- Working knowledge of US GAAP
- Experience with integrated ERP system, Oracle preferred
- Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and with a team
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to be flexible with work assignments and collaboration
