Sr. Associate Director – Operational Engagement

Description

This person should aspire to be a thought leader in the work of Student Life, serving as the Project Lead for the office’s large-scale events (Preterm, MBA Olympics, Welcome to Wharton, Conversations That Matter CTM , Student Life Fellows Program, and MBA Graduation), ensuring logistical and project management excellence, the efficiency of each event, as well as detecting and evaluating project risks, developing mitigation strategies, and ensuring alignment with departmental and divisional goals.

Active within the Wharton community, the person in this role supports the OSL brand based on the goals of the department / Graduate Division and value to internal and external constituents.

This person aligns with non-Grad Division Wharton departments on supporting students, including Wharton External Affairs, University facilities, Penn Athletics, Wharton Operations, Student Health & Counseling, University Life, etc.

The MBA Office of Student Life is a fast-paced office with high student engagement. The ability to work in a high traffic office setting is key for the success of this role.

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • A bachelor’s degree is required and a minimum of 7 to 10 years of prior work experience. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Highly motivated and dedicated individual with strong supervision, project management, customer service, presentation delivery, and interpersonal skills.
  • Previous managerial experience required 3-5 years along with an ability to work as a strong team player.
  • Ability to operate with and manage confidential information.
  • Able to interact across multiple levels, and willingness to go above and beyond to achieve the required goals of the position and department.
  • Knowledge of business and business careers, experience in recruiting, job placement, career counseling or coaching and / or significant industry experience.
  • Some ability to travel.

$74,476.00 - $110,000.00 Annual Rate

Salary offers are made based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, as well as internal and market factors and grade profile.
