20-25 hours per week. Schedule to be discussed.
Office hours are generally 8 : 30am 5 : 30pm. Open Book’s hybrid work model prioritizes working in our Minneapolis office at least 3 days / week.

ABOUT THE ROLE :
The New Business Coordinator supports Open Book’s Leadership Team and Business Development function. The ideal candidate must be exacting of details and quick on the uptake, able to digest diverse inputs and figure out the needed next steps to drive momentum and find solutions.
An aptitude for relational connection and mindset of service is also foundational to success. This role is relied on to support the CEO’s workflow by maintaining business development tools and offering administrative coordination to aid internal clarity and outbound communication.
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS :
- Strong skills in organization, administration, and planning
- Confident communicator, both verbally and in writing
- Must enjoy building relationships and extending hospitality, with a desire to go above and beyond to provide people with memorable service

PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS :
Previous experience in nonprofit donor advancement, sales / business development, and / or marketing + creative production is a plus.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Elevate the capacity of the CEO in the areas of business development and mission advancement.
- Drive forward momentum in communications with prospective clients, ensuring timely, thoughtful responses, and proactive outreach.
- Manage Open Book’s business development tools, including HubSpot, revenue forecasting, and prospecting databases.
- Track and report business development metrics, such as new leads, conversion rates, and overall revenue growth.
- Research prospective clients and create an active prospective client list.
- Ensure the business development plan is being executed by leaders at Open Book.
- Assist in writing proposals and service agreements that lead to successful engagements.
- Build capacity for the CEO by providing administrative support, including understanding her workflow and anticipating needs, assisting with the administration of meetings and tasks, handling some correspondence on her behalf, and managing special projects as assigned.
- Oversee aspects of general office coordination and care, including ensuring office space presents as clean, organized, professional, and welcoming
- Run errands, organize meetings, and carry out other duties as needed to aid the productivity of the team.
