We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Executive Director to lead our organization towards achieving its mission and strategic goals.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in leadership and management, with a proven track record in senior leadership roles.
This position involves overseeing the organization in many functions. The Executive Director is the "face" of the board of directors, assisting in facilitating all aspects of the organization.
Responsibilities include :
- Maintain an accurate list of Board members, including terms, committee assignments, biographical data, and demographic data
- Plan and direct, with the President, the organizational operations, and projects
- Communicate with Board members and the Officers of the organization regarding all issues
- Assist the Board to develop its list of short term and long-term goals
- Maintain an accurate list of all projects, including events, dates, and participants
- Coordinate with various organizations, including churches, other non-profit organizations to inform, engage and nurture relationships
- Maintain an excellent working relationship with affiliated entities, including routine interaction and training
- Developing a speakers’ bureau and creating / refreshing educational programs to meet the needs of the organization
- Developing relationships to promote gardening, including church garden maintenance and Master Gardeners
- Work with the President to maintain meeting agendas and minutes, and to take ownership to execute agreed upon projects
- Craft the fundraising efforts and oversee fundraising efforts
- Coordinate the preparation of reports needed to efficiently run the organization, including financial budgeting
- Coordinate the organization’s insurance policies (Professional Liability and E & O Coverages)
