Summary :
A professional who plans, implements, coordinates,monitors, and evaluates patient care activities. He / she hasclinical and / or functional knowledge of the position for which theyare accountable either directly or indirectly through delegation oftasks.
Incumbent is accountable to the Administrative Team.Collaborates with other Clinical Associates to meet individualneeds using communication and available resources to promotequality, cost effective care
Responsibilities :
- The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistantreports directly to the department manager and / or his / her designeewith clinical supervision provided by a licensed occupationaltherapist
- Responsible for utilization andsupervision of volunteers, students, and support staff relating tothe provision of occupational therapyservices
- The occupational therapist isresponsible for interpretation / implementation of physician orders,provision of safe care to customers, protection of confidentialinformation, professional communication, economic use oftime / resources, and creation of a positive work / therapyenvironment
- Knowledgeable of the principles andpractice of occupational therapy
- Perform thetechnical skills of the certified occupational therapy assistantand be competent to operate the equipment utilized in his / herprofessional area
- Ability to write and speak ina professional and intelligent manner and must demonstratesupervision / management skills
- Willing to assumeadditional responsibilities as requested
