Your work environment at EXP
EXP is currently seeking an Intern for our Wisconsin Operations (Appleton areas). The selected candidate will work under the direct supervision of junior or senior engineers with a focus on transportation / structural related planning and design projects.
The environment is fast-paced and growth oriented, ideally suited for individuals who like to take charge and are driven to gain experience working in a consulting engineering firm.
Candidates can have interest in any number of civil engineering disciplines and work may be assigned as needed without regard for specialized areas of interest.
What a day at EXP has in store for you
- Assist with on-site inspections and field assignments;
- Utilize CAD programs to assist in the preparation of plan drawings and details;
- Assist with preparation of technical specifications and reports;
- Perform material quantity take-offs;
- Organize design calculations
- Assist project teams in meeting deadlines as needed.
What your experience looks like
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college civil engineering program
- Experience with computer aided drafting and Microsoft Office products
- Punctuality and maturity ability to work with minimal direction
- Ability to work outdoors for field assignments
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
