Our Insurance client is looking for Data Integration Architect in Rochester, NY who will be able todesigns the way to link data files, stores and repositories together to deliver data as a strategic enterprise asset.

As such, they are responsible for the Data Integration Architecture across master, transactional, operational, reference, unstructured, and meta data domains via reusable data services and solutions.
The Data Integration Architect must understand and communicate how to integrate data in support of EHP current and future business operations and capabilities.
They must be able to explain the effects future integrated processes will have on the use of data at EHP.
Responsibilities / Accountabilities :
Works with data integration analysts and business analysts to understand the business use cases that the integration solution must support
Works with data architects to choose a reference architecture or data integration style to meet the needs of each project, for example, bulk data delivery, data federation, message-oriented movement or real-time data, and conducts peer reviews of Data Integration Architecture deliverables
Works hand-in-hand with the project teams to ensure the integration architecture is aligned with and capable of supporting business strategy.
Ensures that the data integration reusable services are leveraged, created, or amended in support of the Project’s requirements.
Also includes coordinating all Data Integration Architecture deliverables as per the Project Delivery Methodology and providing estimates for work efforts based on priority and scope- Designs integration high level solutions that fit within the enterprise’s larger data integration strategy or initiative, including the choice of data integration tool(s)
Interacts with database administrators and data integration developers to meet requirements for volume and performance
Understands implementation issues from both business and technical perspective which would require knowledge of, if not deep understanding of, process controls and corporate data governance
Functions on multiple levels - from strategic, to tactical implementation
Works with data services administrators to develop the data objects and data models to support data services in service-oriented architecture
Communicates at multiple levels of an organization, from business leaders, to accountants, to developers within IT
Anticipates, identifies and analyzes problems, accepting nothing at face value, instead gaining knowledge through examination of the truth and validity of arguments, classifying the relative importance of ideas, and applying reason, logic and judgment to determine the merits of arguments;

Design the movement, enhancement, integration, quality and availability of data throughout the enterprise. Communicate the impact that changes to data have upon these factors to a wide range of stakeholders at all levels of the company
Models the future state of the data integration architecture and development of best practices, guidelines and standards for Data Integration Architecture
Establishes metrics for tracking and measuring the value of data integration architecture initiatives. For example, measures SLA for data availability, data integration approach impact on project costs or improved data consistency across diverse initiatives
Identifies common issues associated with integrating these subject areas in lieu of MDM, and given an MDM implementation : where the issues arise, what the impacts are, and experience in remediating the issues
Understands business drivers and uncover the value proposition posed by issue remediation and data integration implementations
Documents requirements that are understandable, develops diagrams that can resonate with both business and IT audiences, and develops presentations that both educate on data integration as well as articulate potential gains in business value from successful data integration
Understands issues from business perspective based on limited information and ability to analyze situations and develop plans and road maps based on assumptive models driven by available (sometimes limited) information
Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or relevant field (or four additional years related work experience in lieu of bachelors)

years of Data Integration Architecture or Data Architecture experience with demonstrated experience utilizing Data Federation and / or Spoke and HUB integration models
years of Healthcare experience (preferably with a healthcare payor)
Experience in Data Modeling (Conceptual, Logical and Physical). A plus if familiar with master data concepts such as Party, Product, Location, Agreement as well as patterns such as Data Vault
years experience with ETL and Data Services platforms such as Informatica
Familiar with Data and Enterprise Modeling tools (CA Erwin Data Modeler)
Experience working in an Oracle, Teradata, and / or Hadoop
QL Expertise, ability to use query tools such as TOAD- Familiar with Data Virtualization Tools such as Composite
Familiar working with Messaging Platforms such as MQ
Experience with data integration technologies, solutions and patterns required, including Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Data Warehouse (Kimble, Inmon, Data Vault), Operational Data Stores (ODS), Enterprise Service Bus (ESB), and Change Data Capture.
Knowledge of when, where and how these components fit into an enterprise data architecture environment
Experience in Leading Data Integration teams and processes
Familiarity with real time integration platforms such as WebSphere MQ, Message Broker or equivalent
Experience with ETL and Data Services platforms such as Informatica
Knowledge of a variety of integration protocols and formats such as SOAP, REST, EDI, HL, JSON, Copybook
Experience with NoSQL technologies is desirable
Experience with Big Data and CEP tools such as Hadoop or Storm is desirable
Familiar with Master Data Management Solutions- Experience with the use cases, business purposes and quality of the data
Experience with process / workflow modeling and application integration
Ability to interact favorably with internal and external audiences
Strong team player with a high level of interpersonal skills
