Job Summary

Support IT departmental financial and procurement processes by performing administrative duties related to the centralized IT procurement and accounts payable processes.

Job Responsibilities

  • Process requisitions, service entries, and invoices for material received and services rendered.
  • Develop monthly accrual report and prepare journal entries to ensure costs are properly allocated.
  • Provide support to the IT Financial Team by maintaining accurate records and collecting data for monthly variance reports.
  • Coordinate with the Accounts Payable and Procurement Departments to resolve complex issues or concerns with internal / external clients and vendors.
  • Develop monthly accrual and pre-payment reports. Complete the monthly reconciliation of the corporate credit card.
  • Create requisitions requested by IT associates to meet project deliverables
  • Create and process service entries for approval to support corporate accounting practices. Ensure timely payments of vendor invoices including resolution of complex problems and compliance with procedures.

Assist with month end close by developing monthly

Job Specific Qualifications

Required Skills, Competencies, Education or Experience :

  • High school graduate
  • Broad understanding of procurement and accounts payable processes
  • Demonstrated experience using SAP or related systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Desired Skills, Competencies, Education or Experience :

  • BS / BA degree in Business or Accounting
  • Demonstrated ability to produce well organized work products with meticulous detail
  • Strong customer focus and the ability to work effectively with all levels across the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to support urgent deadlines
  • Demonstrated experience in improving work processes and standardization
  • Working knowledge of PSEG financial and procurement (integrity) standards.
  • Demonstrated experience to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
