Summary
The Manager, Cloud Data Warehouse & Reporting is responsible for all departmental projects in support of key divisional objectives, managing a budget of up to 20MM.
Additionally, this role maintains and supports the systems required for operation of the cooperative. The Manager, Cloud Data Warehouse & Reporting manages teams of up to 65 associates responsible for design, development, and deployment of business systems.
This role sets direction and guides action plans and priorities for implementation of those systems.
This role will be responsible for leading a team of engineers to design and implement data warehouse solutions across our cloud platforms and building the next generation analytics cloud platform.
At Wakefern the role governs the strategy and implementation of the cloud data warehouse and emerging data platforms. The role’s mission is to drive activation of data solutions, engagement, technology, and intelligence to achieve targeted business outcomes including but not limited to ROI.
The role will help Marketing, Finance, Advertising, and executive leadership make fact-based decisions by integrating and analyzing data.
We are seeking a dynamic and senior people manager who has a passion for data and the new data technology platforms that enable warehouses, analytics, and AI / ML insights.
This role will require someone with core platform and engineering expertise across a broad spectrum of data solutions and tools & technologies.
Essential Functions
- Direct project managers and a professional / technical staff in the development life cycle (requirements definition, budget creation, project approval, design, development, and implementation) and maintenance of the systems assigned to them.

tech management team to achieve departmental and shared divisional annual corporate goals.
- Determines staffing requirements (both internal and external) to ensure defined objectives are met.
- Provides direction for direct and indirect reporting associates.
- Manages recruitment, performance evaluation, salary administration and coordinates recommendations for promotion and / or termination of supervised associates.
- Develops associates through mentoring, coaching, and challenging assignments.
- Guides the team’s professional and personal development to empower diverse associates with the knowledge and skills they need to excel at their careers, including certifications and / or degrees as required by the role.
- Administers departmental operating and capital budgets.
- Guides the development and use of standards and procedures according to Architecture Review Board best practices, revising standards and procedures as requirements change and technological advancements are incorporated into the >

- Communicates and promotes the code of ethics and business conduct.
- Ensures completion of required company compliance training programs.
- Directs project presentations for recommendations and updates to staff, management, Committees, and Membership. Includes associates, when possible, to provide exposure and encourage them to build relationships with management and membership.

Responsibilities
- Design and implement data warehouse solutions on cloud platforms such as Azure, Google Cloud, etc.
- Responsible for partnering with >
tech infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity and business teams to understand and translate solution requirements to define capabilities for enterprise platforms
- Ensure the data warehouse meets the business needs and complies with the data governance policies.
- Monitor and optimize the performance, availability, and security of the data warehouse.
- Develop and maintain ETL pipelines, data models, and data quality checks.
- Conduct data analysis and reporting to support business decisions and insights.
- Research and evaluate new technologies and trends in cloud data warehousing.
- Manage the data warehouse budget and resources.
- Oversee various reporting teams utilizing BI & Analytics platforms such as SAP, Tableau, Microstrategy, Alteryx, etc.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field.
- At least 6-8 years of experience leading data warehouse development teams including performance management responsibilities.
- At least 3 years of experience in cloud data warehouse platforms such as AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse, or Google BigQuery.
- Experience in platform engineering for mission critical applications along with cloud migrations
- Experience in leading and managing data warehouse teams AB1 .Proficient in SQL and ETL tools such as AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory, or Google Dataflow.
- Knowledge of data warehouse design principles, data modeling, and data quality standards.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Certification in cloud data warehousing is a plus.
