Delta has been retained by a confidential client to conduct a search for a traveling Mechanical Project Engineer based out of the Chicago, IL area.
Mechanical Project Engineer Compensation & Benefits
Total compensation for the Mechanical Project Engineer is between $75,000 and $100,000.

- Ability to move up into a Project Manager within 2-4 years.
Mechanical Project Engineer Duties & Responsibilities
- Direct communication with project management team for pre-job planning.
- Review work plans with superintendent and foreman.
- Work with the project management teams and foreman to ensure estimates are correct.
- Safety oriented within OSHA standards and guidelines.
- Update and track project schedule consistently.
- Write daily logs of activities and any potential job site issues.
- Order materials for jobsites and complete material take offs.
Mechanical Project Engineer Qualifications
- 4 years Construction Management or Engineering Degree preferred, will consider on the job experience in lieu of degree.
- Experience working on Mission Critical / Data Center, Industrial, Pharmaceutical, Food Processing, Heavy Commercial projects from $5M+.
- Computer skills.
