• Pharmacy Technicians assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory and patient records.

Pharmacy technicians work only under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. They do not perform duties that can legally be performed only by a registered pharmacist.

Must staff majority of time in a hazardous compounding role.

• Required : Annual sterile compounding competency CE completed through current sterile compounding competency program.
• Required : Annual hazardous drug compounding competency CE completed through current sterile compounding competency.
• Preferred : High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Experience
• Required : 1-2 years related experience

• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Able to work independently and collaboratively in teams
• Proficient in using computers and computer systems such as excel, word, and power point
• Licensure / Certification / Registration
• Required : Registered with the Missouri State Board of Pharmacy as a pharmacy technician / intern OR technician / intern application in process upon hire and obtained within 90 days
• Required : Must be certified as a Pharmacy Technician through a nationally accredited Pharmacy organization. No certification needed with a current Missouri Pharmacy Intern License
• Job Summary Pharm Tech III
• Pharmacy technicians assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory, and maintaining patient records.

Responsibilities include prescription data entry, insurance claims submission, and product selection. Pharmacy technicians present completed prescription to the pharmacist for verification and routinely interact with patients to ensure quality service.

Must be team-oriented and have strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills as well as an ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

The Pharmacy Technician III will demonstrate mastery of Technician II competencies and will take a lead role supporting pharmacy services in clinic sites, retail locations, or hospital areas.

This person will maintain the capabilities of sterile compounding, PTCB certification, and all other requirements for job performance.

Must staff majority of time in a sterile compounding role.
