Our client is looking to hire a VP People & Talent to build out their HR and Recruitment functions from the ground up.
This individual will play a critical role in shaping the future of the firm by developing and implementing a comprehensive talent acquisition and people management strategies.
This role focuses on attracting, recruiting and retaining top-tier wealth management professionals and executives. In addition, this leader will build out HR and people strategies, enhance employee experience and focus in on DEI initiatives.
VP People & Talent Responsibilities :
- Build an efficient and effective talent engine for attracting financial advisors and growth oriented executives
- Ensure the business maintains succession and key advisor risk reduction plans; build recruiting capacity to backfill advisors according to succession plans and to enable continued growth
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand their needs and develop tailored recruitment plans
- Enhance the firm’s employer brand to attract top talent in the wealth management industry
- Build an Operating Company Support Program including basic key functions such as benefits management, payroll, 401k and employee onboarding and offboarding
- Serve on Palm’s Executive Leadership Team and play a key role representing Palm’s employees and the people-lever in annual and quarterly strategic planning
VP People & Talent Requirements :
- 8+ years proven experience within HR and Talent in a highly regulated industry
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field; MBA preferred
- Advanced certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) preferred
- Proven experience in a senior HR leadership role, preferably within the financial services or wealth management industry
- Possesses an Analytical, Growth-Oriented Operator Mindset
- Proven ability to build programs to scale
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing talent acquisition and talent development strategies
- Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and the ability to drive change
- Intellectually passionate about the wealth management industry, HR and talent development
