EHS Technician

We have an outstanding Contract position for an EHS Technician to join a leading Company located in the Los Alamitos, CA surrounding area.

Pay Rate : $23Responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining compliance in all areas of environmental, health, and safety through daily collaboration with the EHS team.

This position will carry an emphasis on environmental compliance through the daily collection of field data, sampling, auditing, monitoring, and reporting.

Responsibilities : Measure, record, and communicate data to the EHS Director as instructedMaintain daily functions for wastewater treatment system as instructed;

including monitoring, inspection, sample collection, and data gatheringPerform daily / weekly / monthly / annual operation and maintenance tasks as instructedEnsure adherence to site-specific manuals, records of inspections, and regulatory sampling schedulesCollect and report on assigned KPIsAssist in the implementation and evaluation of EHS programs, policies, and procedures Complete assigned tasks to ensure the organization complies with current federal, State, and local regulationsAudit equipment, procedures, training, and recordkeeping gaps and improvement opportunitiesMaintain electronic records relating to incident reporting and corrective actionsAssist and participate in the Emergency Response TeamAssist in the development of training programs and deliver training as requiredMust be able to communicate with all levels of management and workers using a variety of methods, tools, and techniquesProvide rotational on-call support for all after-hours EHS concerns / emergencies if needed or as needed This job description is not all-inclusive of all dutiesOther duties may be assignedBasic Hiring Criteria : High School Diploma or equivalentMinimum 3 years of related experience preferredDesired Qualifications : Ability to work well in a team environmentKnowledge of wastewater discharge, sampling, and treatment is a plus but not requiredAbility to use handheld meters for water sampling and document data on field logsUnderstanding of collecting and measuring KPIs in order to make data-driven decisionsExperience with documenting procedures and participating in executing EHS programs is a plus but not requiredAbility to work with minimal supervision after receiving detailed instruction and expectationsAbility to develop and deliver training programs as requiredMust be able to work in a fast-paced, large general industry environmentStrong computer skills, including MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Communication skills both written and verbalBenefits offered to vary by the contract.
