What You Will Be Doing :

Under general supervision, responsible for evaluating and analyzing procurement data, trends and costs and providing analytics insight and recommendations for procurement contracting efforts.

Work is varied and moderately complex and requires a moderate degree of discretion and independent judgment.

Essential Functions :

  • Develops, maintains, and monitors vendor scorecards.
  • Works with stakeholders to develop vendor evaluation plans, including service level agreements, financial viability assessments and contract performance criteria.
  • Conducts cost : benefit analyses on potential suppliers and products and presents findings and recommendations to management.
  • Analyzes vendor performance against identified criteria; takes action based on findings.
  • Analyzes and forecasts future costs of services and materials based on historical purchasing costs.
  • Schedules and leads vendor review sessions; identifies areas of improvement and develops action plans.
  • Analyzes overall and vendor-specific costs to identify savings opportunities.
  • Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to identify and implement process improvement opportunities.
  • Develops, implements, and maintains procedures, processes, models and other documentation.
  • Assists in the development of sourcing strategies and activities.
  • Provides input for vendor contract negotiations to secure optimal pricing, terms, and conditions.
  • Ensures that data and information is captured, recorded, stored, and reported in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Compiles, develops, and submits reports with written summaries and recommendations to management and stakeholders on a monthly, quarterly, annual, and as-needed basis.

  • In-depth knowledge of financial analysis principles, concepts, best practices and performance measures, including forecasting, and ability to effectively use, implement and maintain them.
  • Data accuracy and process : Ability to conduct accurate analysis validation processes to ensure data accuracy and reliability and drive data decisions.
  • Synthesizing and Analytical Skills : Applies knowledge of various analytical techniques to boil down multiple, related issues of varying complexity to their essential elements and communicate trends, advice and recommendations in terms easily understood.
  • Data Visualization : Implements techniques and visual displays to present patterns, trends, and analytical insights from data for the target audience.
  • Problem-solving Approach : approaches a problem by using a logical, systematic, sequential approach.
  • Requirements Gathering : Identifies, scopes and documents moderately complex requirements and priorities through information gathering, probing questions, and analysis as well as clarification of the solutions, initiatives, and programs.
  • Business Knowledge : Ability to understand business operations and translate into meaningful analysis.
  • Strong vendor management skills, with ability to objectively evaluate, assess, select, and manage vendors.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate professionally to diverse individuals and groups inside and outside of HPSJ, and explain complex information.
  • Strong listening skills, with the ability to accurately receive and understand messages.
  • Intermediate project management skills, with ability to lead department and cross-functional projects to successful conclusion.

What You Have :

Education and Experience

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or Data Analytics; and
  • At least five years of experience in financial analysis; or
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred

  • Procurement or supply chain management experience
  • Experience in procurement or supply chain management in a healthcare organization or public entity
