JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for providing high quality and timely support of commercial and consumer loans by reviewing credit approvals, compliance documentation, and other source documents to produce the necessary loan documents.

Responsibilities include conducting quality control reviews of documentation for our Commercial, Business, SBA, Consumer and Private Bankers prior to producing loan documents.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Process Documentation Review (40%)

Reviews supporting loan documentation accurately and timely, in accordance with all policies, procedures and checklists.

Communicates missing items effectively to Lending Team.

  • Completes quality control reviews on documentation prior to producing Laser Pro documents. Reviews outside counsel documentation utilizing approved credit memo for accuracy.
  • Serves as the subject matter expert in reviewing and interpreting legal documents including Articles of Organization, Bylaws, Operating and Trust Agreements.
  • Reviews loan packages for compliance with Federal regulations and Credit Policy guidelines. Includes review of UCC searches, UCC collateral filings, Flood, title work, verification of good standings, CIP, verification of paid R / E taxes, etc. as applicable.
  • Maintains tracking items and exceptions as necessary.

Produce loan documentation (35%)

  • Ensures all loan closing requirements and conditions are met before releasing documents, while adhering to established service level agreements.
  • Prepares and provides necessary loan documentation to lending team for closing.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to resolve documentation issues.

Conduct Post Close Review (20%)

  • Reviews closed loan packages to ensure required and properly executed documents have been obtained and provides update to Lending team as necessary.
  • Submits final document package to Loan Services to ensure loan can be boarded into the system.
  • Facilitates post close questions from other departments as necessary.

Other Loan Operation Processes (5%)

  • Supports the team and company through sharing of knowledge, leading by example, setting high standards for self and team, being accountable, demonstrating open communication, acknowledging and supporting other’s efforts, and providing feedback when appropriate.
  • Adheres to all relevant regulations that apply within the scope of position including BSA, AML, OFAC and CIP.
  • Provides backup support to team members as necessary.
  • Assists with documenting procedures and maintaining accurate records.
  • Assists with LaserPro administration and prepares comprehensive loan closing documentation for various loan types, including real estate secured, consumer, construction, and commercial loans.

Performs other duties as required and assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Working knowledge and solid understanding of credit administration including documentation, perfection, collateral filings, title work, UCCs, flood requirements and exception resolution.
  • Solid knowledge of compliance regulations, including but not limited to : FLOOD, HMDA, CRA, CIP, TRID.
  • Ability to handle heavy workloads, including multiple tasks and interruptions at the same time, and to be able to independently prioritize those tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to provide a high level of customer service through effective and positive communication.
  • Ability to prepare loan documentation and complete pre-closing quality reviews, with a high degree of accuracy, to ensure exceptions and violations are avoided.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Solid math and organizational skills.
  • Working knowledge of PC and Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook.
  • Ability to complete compliance training by required deadline.
  • Ability to maintain regular and reliable attendance.

EDUCATION*

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Finance courses or equivalent job experience in finance, accounting or business preferred.

EXPERIENCE*

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in reviewing or processing consumer or commercial loan documentation.
  • Proficiency in loan documentation software, such as Laser Pro preferred.
  • Experience with reviewing attorney prepared documentation preferred.
  • Equivalent education and experience will be considered

and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk. The employee is occasionally required to stoop or kneel. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

WORKING CONDITIONS

This job operates in a professional office environment with normal office working conditions. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, etc.
