Role Overview :
The CLC Deviation Specialist reviews product deviation requests input by the Otis salesforce and assesses feasibility of the request.
If not a preapproved deviation, the person in this role works with Otis Contract Logistics Center and Engineering personnel to determine whether the request can be executed and determines the price and general instructions for the request.
The Deviation Manager also reviews contract modification requests for material changes requested after release for manufacturing.
The CLC Deviation Coordinator also reviews requests for additional material then prices and configures these orders.
On a typical day you will :
- Review and respond to salesforce product deviation requests.
- Assess and assign appropriate lead time and pricing to deviation responses.
- Process quotation requests for contract changes after released for manufacturing.
- Facilitate CLC / Engineering discussions for novel deviation requests.
- Work with Drafting and Contract Engineering to modify and enhance deviation responses / instructions as needed.
- Maintain deviation description / response catalogue.
- Work with downstream departments to improve execution of deviations.
- Review and process change requests that occur after contract release to manufacture.
