Summary

The Distributor Sales Manager is responsible for strategic development of the HAI’s network of Indirect Channels to the market in the US & Canada, driving partnerships and growth.

This position will optimize the network to foster an environment where Distributors focus on selling HAI's full range of products and services, driving financial success for both companies.

Essential Functions

  • Partner closely with Distributor company leadership to implement strategies that satisfy Distributor and HAI long term objectives.
  • Maintain and build Indirect Channel network to best support all HAI’s product lines and services.
  • Develop and execute a multi-year strategic plan to ensure the success of the Indirect Channel network.
  • Build and sustain relationships with Distributor contacts and end users across various organizational levels.

Lead Distributor Sales Team to serve as technical consultants to mentor Distributors’ Sales Reps and recommend best fit HAI products and services.

  • Coordinate resources needed to properly train Distributor personnel and support customer projects involving HAI products.
  • Respond promptly to all needs and requests from the Indirect Channel network (e.g., customer concerns,
  • technical issues, etc.). Investigate and report on customer complaints as needed.
  • Collaborate with HA International production, laboratory, technical service, and management functions to create solutions.
  • Establish annual goals with top Distributors that support corporate initiatives.
  • Provide sales forecast to support operational and financial Budgeting.
  • Drive and maximize revenue in alignment with the company’s overall goals and objectives
  • Identify opportunities for growth and develop action plans with Distributor leaders.
  • Develop pricing strategies to optimize volume and profitability.
  • Assess performance of each Indirect partner as well as the performance of the network.
  • Communicate and gain Distributor acceptance to changes in pricing, terms, delivery dates, etc.
  • Keep partners informed of new product offerings and market knowledge / trends.
  • Prepare and submit requests to meet competitive pricing, customer concern reports, etc.
  • Prepare reports (sales activities, customer action plans, KPI’s, market trends, etc.).

Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, metallurgy or related field is required.
  • Must have a strong working knowledge of metal casting process, markets, and overall business environment in the foundry industry.
  • Minimum of 7+ years in Distributor Sales, related Business Segment, or Technical Sales Management.
  • Demonstrated success in leading and motivating a team without direct authority.
  • Experience with customers utilizing documented qualification processes (PPAP, Military, etc.).
  • Self-motivated with a strong ability to execute swiftly in dynamic environments.
  • Adaptability and strategic decision-making skills.
  • Proficient in Office 365, knowledge of ERP Systems (SAP).
  • Ability to travel 70% (USA and Canada). Valid driver’s license, passport and acceptable driving record required.
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Location

Remote. Position requires extensive travel throughout the USA and Canada. Candidate must reside in the US.

Work Environment

The work environment will be a combination of a home office environment when working from home and an industrial environment when visiting our facilities, customers, or suppliers.

While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.

The noise level in the work environment can be loud. Safety apparel and equipment such as gloves, hardhats, safety glasses, and safety boots must be worn as required.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to drive, stand, and walk for extended periods
  • If fieldwork is required, it involves working in extreme weather conditions and involves physical work such as handling equipment.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds in support of field work as needed.
